How We Create Stamped Concrete
Decorative concrete requires more skill and timing than standard flatwork. We start with the same quality base preparation and reinforcement as any concrete project. The concrete mix gets poured and screeded level. While the surface is still workable, we apply color hardener or release agent depending on the finish you chose.
The stamping has to happen at just the right moment when the concrete is firm enough to hold the pattern but still soft enough to imprint. Our crew presses texture mats into the surface, creating realistic joints and texture. We carefully align each mat so the pattern flows naturally across your entire patio or driveway.
